
Jenni Isaac Honored By Northwestern Mutual

DAVIDSON, N.C – Junior midfielder Jenni Isaac of the Davidson women's soccer team was honored over the weekend with the Northwestern Mutual Student-Athlete Spotlight Award as part of the partnership with Northwestern Mutual of North Charlotte and Davidson College athletics.
Isaac, a Bridgewater, Conn., native is the third Wildcat student-athlete that has been honored this year, joining Emily Cooke of the women's lacrosse team and Matt Pacifici of the men's soccer team.
The junior has excelled on the field as well as in the classroom, especially this year. On the field, Isaac started all 19 games for the Wildcats this past Fall, firing off nine shots and putting three of them on goal. For her career, Isaac has started 45 of her 58 games played in, scoring a goal and adding two assists.
A center for interdisciplinary studies major, Isaac carries a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as she enters her senior year next Fall. She was honored this past soccer season as one of 11 women's soccer players in the Atlantic 10 to earn a spot on the A-10 All-Academic Team.
In addition, Isaac recently was awarded the nationally prestigious Barry Goldwater Scholarship to be used next school year for her studies in neuroscience. The junior was also named to the 2013 Southern Conference All-Academic team and was a two-time All-SoCon Honor Roll student during Davidson's final two years in the SoCon.
