DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson returns home after playing its first road game last weekend by hosting Saint Francis this Saturday in a women's lacrosse nonconference matchup at Richardson Stadium.
The Opening Draw Control
Davidson (1-2, 0-0 Atlantic 10), winners of six of their past seven contests at home dating back to last year, plays Saint Francis (2-2) on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. in Richardson Stadium. The Wildcats had a six-game home win streak snapped in their last home game vs. Navy. It was one off the program best set during the 2008 season into the first game of the 2009 campaign.
The Wildcats are playing four of their first five games at home to start the 2015 season.
The All-Time Series/Last Meeting
This will be the fifth meeting between the two schools, with Davidson owning a perfect 4-0 record in the series. Both teams first met in 1994.
Last year at the Red Flash, Davidson scored an 11-8 victory behind Ann Fucigna's five goals and seven points. The Wildcats erased deficits of 4-0 and 6-3 in the first half by outscoring Saint Francis (Pa.) 8-2 in the second half to secure the win.

Record Watch: Closing in on Second in Points
Senior Emily Cooke moved a step closer to moving into second place in the record books in points after her two-point outing last Saturday at Old Dominion. The attacker pushed her career total to 184, two points away from passing Amanda Fleck. Cooke already holds the school's all-time assist record, increasing her total to 112 after an assist vs. the Monarchs.
Weekly Honors
• Senior Emily Cooke and freshman Christine Molinari became the first Davidson women's lacrosse players to earn Atlantic 10 weekly awards as the duo were named the player and rookie of the week for games played from Feb. 16-23.
Six in a Row at Home
Davidson recently had a six-game home streak that came to an end in a defeat to Navy, Feb. 21. The streak start last March 22 against Elon, a 15-8 triumph. The Wildcats rattled off wins against Old Dominion, Winthrop, Coastal Carolina and Liberty to finish out the year. They then opened the 2015 season with a 21-4 triumph over Kennesaw State to capture their sixth straight.
The record is seven straight set from the 2008 season into the start of the 2009 campaign.
Last Time Out ...
DAVIDSON — Davidson's comeback bid at Old Dominion fell just short as it nearly erased a six-goal deficit in the second half before falling last Sunday afternoon to the Monarchs, 10-8.
Down 8-2 after the Monarchs scored 30 seconds into the start of the second half, the Wildcats went on a 5-0 run to get within one with 16:24 remaining. Their momentum ended there as the 'Cats were held to just one goal the rest of the way.
Annie Brockett paced the offense with four points on two goals and two assists, both team highs. It pushed her totals on the season to team highs of 10 goals and 12 points.
Emily Rademacher netted a goal and added two assists, while Emily Cooke registered two points on a goal and an assist. Four other Wildcats scored once each to round out the scoring.
Rademacher registered a season-high five draw controls, while Holly Thomas hauled in three to go with a career-high three caused turnovers and a couple groundballs. Goalie Katy Boyle scooped up a career-best seven groundballs and finished with a career-high tying 11 saves.
Last Time Out ...
... Saint Francis — A total team effort led the Saint Francis University women's lacrosse team to a 15-6 victory over Gardner-Webb on Thursday evening. The Red Flash has now won two games in a row on their spring break trip down south. Head coach Gregg Gebhard became the program's all-time winningest coach after earning his 13th victory in just his fourth season at the helm.
Saint Francis saw eight different players score in the contes. Leading the was freshman Jessica Fischetti, who scored three goals and added two assists, and Rebecca Meyer, who finished with three goals and a helper.
Saint Francis was held scoreless by Gardner-Webb for the first 15 minutes and the Runnin' Bulldogs scored two goals in that span to lead 2-0 midway through the opening period. The Red Flash then rattled off seven goals to close the half and go up 7-3.
Gardner-Webb started the scoring in the second half before SFU got rolling again. The Red Flash ran off a 5-0 run to go up 12-4 and never looked back.
The Flash was also near perfect in clear attempts as they converted on 10-of-11. Heather McKee picked up another win between the pipes after posting seven saves.
