
Wildcats Sweep Weekly A-10 Tennis Awards Again

DAVIDSON, N.C. — For the second time in the past three weeks, the Davidson women's tennis team swept the weekly Atlantic 10 awards, with Elaina Cummer earning performer of the week and Anna Catharine Feaster grabbing the rookie performer of the week, as announced by the league office.
It was the duos second time they swept the awards together, while Feaster won her third consecutive rookie of the week honor.
The pair helped Davidson capture a 5-2 win last Saturday against Campbell to push the Wildcats' win streak to five in a row.
Cummer registered her fourth straight singles win, needing a third set to accomplish it. The junior from Plano, Texas, took home a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory in her first three-set match of the season at No. 1.
Feaster went 2-0 on the day, first teaming with Ally Sexton at No. 2 doubles to continue their undefeated season with a 6-3 decision to move to 6-0 on the year. Five of those wins have come at the No. 2 position.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native then continued her impressive start to her debut season by scoring a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. It Feaster's fifth straight win, matching Ava Todd for best on the team, and pushed her overall record to 5-1.
Davidson (5-1) plays a pair of home matches this week, hosting James Madison, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. and then East Carolina two days later at 10 a.m.
