BROOKYLN, N.Y.  — Davidson capped off a perfect weekend in men's tennis by scoring its second straight shutout, winning 4-0 Sunday afternoon at Saint Francis.

The Wildcats (4-3) went 3-0 over the weekend, including netting the program's first-ever Atlantic 10 win in a victory at Fordham Saturday. The 'Cats won a 6-1 match Friday at Sacred Heart.

No. 1 player Shamael Chaudhry kept up his impressive start to his collegiate career by winning his sixth straight match, coming back from a 6-3 first-set defeat to earn a pair of 6-2 victories in the next two sets. He moved to 6-1 at the top spot.

Right behind him was fellow freshman Artem Khrapko, who tallied his fifth straight singles win to run his record to 5-2. He needed an extra set after falling in the first one, 6-3, but came right back with solid 6-2 and 6-0 decisions in the next two sets at No. 2.

The duo of J.B. Gough and Jordan Hart also continued their winning ways. Gough ran his singles record to 5-2, with all five wins coming at No. 3, when he captured a 6-2, 6-1 match for his fourth straight win. Hart won his second match in a row by winning 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4.

Davidson returns home for a doubleheader, its second of the season, next weekend when it hosts Limestone and USC-Upstate. Match times are set for 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
