Pacifici Receives Northwestern Mutual Award

DAVIDSON, N.C. — In partnership with Northwestern Mutual of North Charlotte, Davidson College athletics honored junior Matt Pacifici of the men's soccer team on Feb. 11, 2015, as part of the Northwestern Mutual Student-Athlete spotlight.
A native of Charlotte, Pacifici is the first of four Wildcat student-athletes that will be honored this season.
In addition to finishing the regular season with a 10-2-5 record and career-high seven shutouts, Pacifici set a new Davidson single-season record with a 0.65 goals-against-average. The all-conference and all-region goalkeeper helped the Wildcats to wins at eventual National Champion Virginia and later Duke, while recording a clean sheet against nationally-ranked Saint Louis at home.
In the classroom, Pacifici carries a 3.459 GPA majoring in economics and Spanish, while earning a spot on the NSCAA Scholar All-America Team.
