DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson women's basketball program and head coach Michele Savage announced recently her sixth recruiting class with the signings of Andrea Robinson and Ally Welling to national letters of intent for the 2016-17 campaign.
"I am so excited about the impact these two young ladies will have on our program next year," said Savage. "This class will really address the voids in our post that will be left by the outgoing class (Dakota Dukes and Hannah Early along with Alexandra Long). We were aiming for an inside presence in this class and I think we did a great job. Andrea and Ally will add to the rotation in the post and bring us much needed size along with an enhanced ability to defend inside as well as on the perimeter."
The incoming class…
Andrea Robinson

Coach Savage's Scouting Report: "Andrea is a very athletic post player who runs the floor and rebounds at a high level. She has the ability to be a game-changer on the defensive end with her ability to control the glass, alter shots, and defend inside and out. Andrea played this summer with one of the top AAU teams in the country and achieved a lot of success. I look forward to her bringing that winning success to Davidson."
Ally Welling

Coach Savage's Scouting Report: "Ally is a strong and skilled post player who comes from an excellent high school program and AAU program. She will give us size and rebounding in the post. She can do so many things with her length, whether it's helping our defense by being that intimidating presence in the back of the zone or helping the offense with her array of moves around the basket. I look forward to her being a part of the Davidson family."
