DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson women's cross country team makes the trip to Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia on Friday, Nov. 13 to compete in the 2015 NCAA Southeast Regional Championships.
The Particulars
The meet, hosted by the University of Virginia, will feature 35 teams. Competition gets underway Friday with the women's 6K race at 1 p.m.
Recognition of the top runners and teams will occur following the men's race.

Atlantic 10 Championship Recap
Caroline Yarbrough was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year as she paced Davidson to an eighth-place finish at the conference championship, Oct. 31.
Yarbrough covered the 5K course in 17:20.9 to place third individually. The Greensboro, N.C., native set a new personal best by 23 seconds. The rookie also earned all-conference status following the race.
Allison Cheeseman crossed the line in 18:07.4 to place 28th, while Hayden Bates registered a time of 18:29.1 to finished 43rd.
A Look Back
Behind the duo of Erin Osment and Sarah Paddon, the Davidson women's cross country team ran to a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Region Championships. The Wildcats came in 15th out of 38 team, marking the best finish at this event in recent seasons.
Osment covered the 6K course in 21:104 to finish 37th, while Paddon crossed the line just 30 seconds later to finish the race in 21:40.4. Current senior Olivia Menden was the Wildcats' third scorer, posting a time of 22:13.6 to take 96th overall, while current junior Hayden Bates recorded a time of 22:42.2.
Consistency Is Key
Davidson has benefited from consistency throughout the season. The Wildcats have gotten strong performances from a variety of student-athletes, which helped the team to four top-15 finishes.
Caroline Yarbrough and Allison Cheeseman turned into the top-two performances at all four meets. The trio of Sierra Ponthier, Sarah Sears and Hayden Bates registered top five finishes among team leaders in at least three meets. Caroline Turner and Ashlyn Gruber also finished in scoring position at the Charlotte Invitational and the Royals Cross Country Invitational, respectively.
What's Next?
Depending on results from the NCAA Southeast Regional, the team or qualifying student-athletes could get the chance to compete in the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21.
