DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson Wildcats look to close out a season-high three-game homestand Sunday afternoon when they play host to Rhode Island at 2 p.m. in an Atlantic 10 women's basketball matchup in John M. Belk Arena.

The 'Cats (4-11, 0-2 A-10) are in a nine-game stretch that spans the entire month of January where they will play six of those games at home, including three straight to open the new year.

OPENING TIP: Quick Hits ...
•Davidson is in its 36th season and reached the 400-win mark, Nov. 20, at Gardner-Webb.
•The 'Cats moved to the Atlantic 10, July 1, 2014, after a 21-year run in the Southern Conference.
•The Wildcats were picked to finish 12th in the A-10 Coaches Preseason Poll.
•Davidson returns seven letterwinners and four of its five starters from last year's 16-16 team.
•Head coach Michele Savage is in her fifth year (78-67) and facing Rhode Island for the first time.

Last Game Out vs. Dayton ...
•Davidson hung with the A-10 preseason No. 1 team for the first 10 minutes of the game, but a cold spell after that hurt the Wildcats as they fell 67-51 Wednesday afternoon at home.
•The Wildcats had leads of 14-13 and 16-15, but went scoreless for seven minutes and Dayton used a 16-0 run to gain control. A 16-4 run in the second half allowed the Flyers to pull away.
•For the 10th time this year, Hannah Early led Davidson in scoring with 15 points to go with five rebounds and three assists.
Mackenzie Latt filled the box score with 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Diona Johnson and Dakota Dukes each added nine points off the bench.

Early and Latt Among the Top-10 in the Atlantic 10 ...
•Early is eighth in the league in scoring with a team-best average of 15.1 points per game.
•Latt (11.6 ppg) is fourth in rebounding at 8.1 per game, while Early is ninth at 7.5.
•Latt's .493 field goal percentage is eighth-best in the league, while her 27 steals are ninth.
•With her 40 offensive rebounds, Early ranks sixth in the A-10 and her 34 made three-pointers are good for fifth-most.

Home Stats ...
•Davidson is 2-5 at home this year, averaging 60.9 points and shooting 38.7 percent, including 32.7 percent from three-point range. They also are averaging just over 42 rebounds a game.
•Three Wildcats are averaging over 10 points at home, with Hannah Early leading the way on a team-high 13.9 points to go 7.7 rebounds a game.
•Latt is pouring in just over 11 points and pulling down a team-best eight boards a game, while shooting 45.9 percent. Dukes is the third Wildcat in double figures at 10.1 points a contest.

•Nov. 24- Latt was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week and College Sports Madness A-10 Player of the Week after averaging 17 points and nine rebounds, Nov. 17-24.
•Dec. 29- Timpton was named the Wildcats' second A-10 Rookie of the Week after scoring 10 points in a 67-57 win at Virginia, Dec. 28.
 
Random Notes ...
•Davidson had a season-high five game road trip from Dec. 13-29, with the lone win coming over ACC-foe Virginia (67-57) at the Cavalier Holiday Classic.
•Early had her 13-game streak of scoring in double figures come to an end vs. La Salle, Jan. 4.
•The junior is just 132 points away from reaching the 1,000-point mark for her career.
•Early nailed a career-high six three-pointers and set a school single-game record with 13 attempts in a victory at Virginia, Dec. 28.
•Latt (Nov. 24) and Timpton (Dec. 29) have earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors this year.

Scouting the Rams ...
•Rhode Island has a 9-5 overall record and is an even 1-1 in Atlantic 10 play.
•The Rams dropped their first league game Thursday night against VCU, 64-48.
•VCU opened the game with an 11-0 run and then used a 14-4 run to close the first half up 40-17.
•Symone Bullard finished with a career-high 18 points to go with five rebounds and five steals.
•Senior Sydney Lewis matched her season high with 12 points to go with eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
•Freshman Charise Wilson had 14 points to extend her streak of double-digit scoring to 13 games.
•The Rams won their conference opener against Duquesne, 62-61, last Saturday, Jan. 3.
