DAVIDSON, N.C. — Fresh off the program's first-ever Atlantic 10 win, the Davidson women's basketball team looks to make it two straight when they play host to the Richmond Spiders Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in John M. Belk Arena.

The 'Cats (5-13, 1-4 A-10) are in a nine-game stretch that spans the entire month of January where they play six of those games at home, including the three straight they played to open the new year.

OPENING TIP: Quick Hits ...
•Davidson is in its 36th season and reached the 400-win mark, Nov. 20, at Gardner-Webb.
•The 'Cats moved to the Atlantic 10, July 1, 2014, after a 21-year run in the Southern Conference.
•The Wildcats were picked to finish 12th in the A-10 Coaches Preseason Poll.
•Davidson returns seven letterwinners and four of its five starters from last year's 16-16 team.
•Head coach Michele Savage is in her fifth year (79-69) and has 0-1 record against Richmond.

Last Game Out at Saint Louis ...
•Davidson snapped a five-game losing streak last Sunday at Saint Louis, earning the program's first-ever Atlantic 10 win, 53-50. It also halted a four-game league losing streak.
•The 'Cats used a 16-2 run to get back in the contest and then a Dakota Dukes' offensive putback gave them the go-ahead bucket with 35 seconds left.
Hannah Early, who sealed the win with a pair of free throws in the final five seconds, scored a game-high 17 points, 15 on three-pointers, making it her 17th double-digit scoring game this year and 45th for her career.  
Alexandra Long and Dakota Dukes each had 10 points in the win, with Dukes adding six boards.

Early and Latt Among the Top-10 in the Atlantic 10 ...
•Early is sixth in the league in scoring with a team-best average of 15.6 points per game.
Mackenzie Latt (11.3 ppg on season) is fourth in rebounding at eight per game.
•Early is one of the top three-point threats in the league, ranking second in total threes with 52, while her 39.7 percent average is seventh-best.

A-10 Games ...
•Latt (11.2 ppg/9 rpg in conference) has had an impressive start in the Atlantic 10, recording double-doubles in two of the five games against La Salle (16 pts / 14 rbs) and Rhode Island (18/12).
•Early (15.2 ppg) and Dukes (10.6 ppg) are also averaging in double digits in their first five league games. The duo have combined to average over 13 rebounds a game together.
•Early has hit 46.5 percent of her three-pointers, going 19-for-40 in the first five games.
•The junior's last three games combined has seen her score 53 points on 17-of-37 shooting from the floor, including 15-for-25 from three-land, while pulling in 14 rebounds.
•She has hit five three-pointers in each of the last three games against URI, VCU and Saint Louis.

Weekly Honors ...
•Nov. 24- Latt was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week and College Sports Madness A-10 Player of the Week after averaging 17 points and nine rebounds, Nov. 17-24.
•Dec. 29- Timpton was named the Wildcats' second A-10 Rookie of the Week after scoring 10 points in a 67-57 win at Virginia, Dec. 28.

Random Notes ...
•The month of January has Davidson playing six of its nine games at John M. Belk Arena.
•Early had a 13-game streak of scoring in double figures come to an end vs. La Salle, Jan. 4.
•The junior is 79 points away from becoming the 17th Wildcat to reach 1,000 for a career.
•Early nailed a career-high six three-pointers and set a school single-game record with 13 attempts in a victory at Virginia, Dec. 28.
•With 52 three-pointers, she is just 15 away from setting the Wildcats' single season record.
•Latt (Nov. 24) and Timpton (Dec. 29) have earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors this year.
•In 16 of the 18 games, the Wildcats have recorded at least 10 offensive rebounds or more overall.

All-Time Series vs. Richmond ...
•The 'Cats and Spiders have played just once, meeting last year at Davidson. Richmond put five players in double figures to win the inaugural matchup, 87-68, at John M. Belk Arena.
•Early led all scorers with 21 points, while Laura Murray add 20. The duo combined for 30 second-half points when Davidson hit 53.5 percent of its shots and got within three points at 47-44. But, a 14-7 Spider run midway through the half and then a 17-7 run to finish out the game led Richmond to the win.

Scouting the Spiders ...
•Richmond enters Wednesday night's game with a 10-7 overall record and an even 2-2 mark in the Atlantic 10.
•The Spiders halted a two-game losing streak by scoring a 77-49 win at home against George Mason last Sunday.
•Five Spiders hit double figures to lead the charge, led by Janelle Hubbard's and Lauren Tolson's 18 points each.
•Liz Brown chipped in 15 points, while Olivia Healy scored 12 and Genevieve Okoro had 11 points and a team-best eight rebounds.
•Richmond had dropped A-10 games to George Washington and St. Bonaventure prior to its win Sunday.
•Richmond is 4-4 on the road this year, but 0-2 in league games.
•Hubbard leads three Spiders in double-digit scoring, averaging a team-best 14.7 points.
•Tolson is at 12.5 points a game and Okoro at 10.8 to go with a team-best average of 8.1 rebounds a contest.
•Hubbard's 43.9 percent shooting from downtown is second in the A-10, while Okoro is third in the league in rebounding.
•Richmond as a team is third in three-point shooting at 34.6 percent and fifth overall in scoring offense, averaging just over 66 points a game.
•In last year's meeting at Davidson, Keri Soppe scored a team-best 18 points to pace five Spiders in double figures.
Richmond shot 55.2 percent in the second half and outscored the 'Cats 53-47.
•The Spiders return nine of their 12 letterwinners from last season, including four starters.
•They went 14-16 overall and 8-8 in league play a year ago.
•Richmond was picked to finish sixth in the Atlantic 10 coaches preseason poll.
