An Open Letter From Coach Nichols: Plant the Flag!

Dear Wildcats,
As some of you may know the Wildcat football program reports for training camp on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. We are excited as we welcome 37 new freshmen to our family. We will work hard to represent Davidson College and the former players well this season.
I write to ask a favor. In a show of solidarity and support, at the urging of Jon Perry '76, I would like to ask you to fly your Davidson flag outside of your house on that day and send me an email with a picture. We will take those pictures and put them all over our locker room in order to make sure our team knows how important they are to you. If you do not have a flag please send us a picture in a Davidson t-shirt or hat. Finally, if you are a Davidson alum, please include your graduation year when you send us the picture. My email address is panichols@davidson.edu.
I cannot wait to see the flags flying high on August 6th and then see so many of you this season.
