Men's Squad
The Wildcats will look to defend their 2013 championship and take home their fourth title in five years at the 2014 meet. CCSA Champion and Swimmer of the Year Drew Onken may have graduated at the end of last season, but 2013 CCSA Men's Coach of the Year John Young takes a talented team into Knoxville with him. Dylan Ludwick will look to defend his titles in the 500-yard and 200-yard freestyle events, while Grant Smith looks to improve on his runner-up finish to Onken last season in the 400-yard IM.
Will Fox is also a defending champion, winning the 100-yard fly and ranking in the top-16 of the CCSA this season. The 'Cats will also look to get points from diver Brian McRae, who looks to earn his third all-conference honors on the 1- and 3-meter boards. The addition of UMBC and Incarnate Word will make for a much more competitive meet than in previous years.
Women's Squad
After winning four CCSA Swimmer of the Week accolades, Elise Lankiewicz will be looked upon to score points for the 'Cats. Lankiewicz already owns four Davidson program records and her versatility will make her a threat in numerous events.
Fellow rookie Katy Williams is also a Wildcat record holder in the 100-yard breaststroke and ranks in the top-10 of the CCSA in both the 100- and 200-yard events. She will also be called upon to claim points for the 'Cats, as will veteran Meredith Nakano. Nakano, who competes in the butterfly and breaststroke events, finished just outside of the top 10 at last season's meet in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events. Also a veteran, Anna Blair Bullock will be one of the team leaders in the distance events after notching a 10th-place finish in the 1,650-yard free in 2013.
Divers Kaliya Burton-Akright and Karen Monuszko will also look to build upon their solid performances from last season's event.
The meet will mark the conclusion of Davidson's participation in the CCSA, as the Wildcats depart for the Atlantic 10 in the summer of 2014.
