Davidson Heads to Louisville for NCAA Southeast Regionals

DAVIDSON, N.C. – After a strong showing at its inaugural Atlantic 10 Championship and a weekend off to recover, the Davidson women's cross country squad travels to Louisville, Ky., for the 2014 NCAA Southeast Regional Cross Country meet Friday. The race will take place at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park with a noon start.

The Particulars
The meet, hosted by the University of Louisville, will feature 42 teams. Representing the Wildcats will be Hayden Bates, Allison Cheeseman, Olivia Menden, Erin Osment, Sarah Paddon, Hannah Rieden, Sarah Sears, Grace Watt and Helen Webster.

About Davidson
Davidson has benefitted from its depth throughout the season, getting strong performances from a variety of Wildcats. Veterans Osment, Paddon and Menden had their best outings at the Atlantic 10 championship, while the class of 2018 has made an impact splash for the Wildcats.

Last Time Out
Behind a cohesive effort, the Wildcats saw four of its five scorers place within the top-35 at the Atlantic Championship. Osment raced to a ninth-place finish with a time of 18:03.8 to earn all-conference honors. Paddon was just 17 seconds behind crossing the line in 18:22.5 followed by Menden, who covered the course in 18:44.1 to take 30^th place.

2013 NCAA Southeast Regional Meet
Last season, Osment paced Davidson to a 32^nd-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet. Osment took 98^th place with a time of 22.30.7, while Jenny Fritz followed in 132^nd place, running 22:54.5.
