DAVIDSON, N.C. -- For the sixth time this season, senior Alan Reiter provided the game-winning goal as his 72nd minute penalty kick lifted Davidson to a 1-0 win over Duquesne in Atlantic 10 men's soccer action Friday at Alumni Stadium.

In addition to running their home unbeaten streak to nine straight dating back to last year, the Wildcats improve to 8-2-4 overall and 2-2-1 in league play. The setback drops the Dukes to 7-6-2 and 2-3-0.

Matt Pacifici continued his impressive play in goal recording three saves, while leading Davidson to its sixth clean sheet of 2014.

Despite trailing the shot column, the Wildcats held a 4-3 edge in shots on goal and 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Davidson will wrap up its home slate Sunday when UMass visits 1992 Team Field for a 1 p.m. kickoff. Prior to the contest, seniors Luke Blades, Drew Brown, Alex Feliciano, Kristian Garciamendez-Rowold, John Pace, Alan Reiter and Max Riehemann will be honored.
