DAVIDSON, N.C. — The start of the Davidson women's basketball season begins this Sunday when the Wildcats open with their first official practice at John M. Belk Arena for the 2014-15 campaign.
Entering their fifth season under the guidance of Michele Savage, Davidson is entering a new era as it moves to the Atlantic 10 this year after a 21-year run in the Southern Conference.
"I'm anxious to get started with official practice on Sunday," said Savage, who has collected 74 career wins in five years. "I am looking forward to improving as a team and getting better everyday as we enter the Atlantic 10."

• The Wildcats welcome three freshmen: Saadia Timpton (Charlotte, N.C.), Diona Johnson (Rochester, N.Y.) and Mackenzie Latt (Kalamazoo, Mich.).
• In addition, Melanie Ransom (out all last season after pre-season injury) and Kayla Seymour (sat out last year after transferring from University of Maryland Baltimore County) will also suit up for the 'Cats this year.
