Volleyball to Host Alumni Match Saturday

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Fans of Davidson volleyball can get their first glimpse of the 2013 team this Saturday when the Wildcats welcome back their former teammates in the annual Alumni Match. The tilt is set for 2 p.m. at Belk Arena.
For the first time in a number of years, the alumni will field a team of their own at the event. Head coach Chris Willis looks forward to seeing former players compete with his current squad.
"We're excited to have a number of alums return for the event," said Willis. "It will be good to see everyone and we look forward to showing off some of the strides we've made in the offseason."
Davidson opens the regular season Aug. 30 & 31 when the squad hosts the Wildcat Classic. Charlotte, Cal State Bakersfield and Charleston Southern will travel to Davidson for six-match tournament. The Wildcats will take on the 49ers at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, in their first appearance at the event.
