DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Wildcat women's basketball team looks to close out the regular season on a winning note when they play host to Western Carolina Monday evening for Senior Night at 7 p.m. in John M. Belk Arena.
Davidson (18-11, 15-4 SoCon), sitting in second in the league standings at 15-4, is looking to halt a two-game skid. Its the first two-game losing streak since dropping back-to-back road games at Charlotte and No. 13 Tennessee, Dec. 21 & 28.
The 'Cats will also be seeking its seventh Southern Conference season-series sweep, having already defeated the Catamounts (7-21, 5-14 SoCon) earlier this year on the road, 65-56.
Game Notes: Quick Hits....
•The 'Cats have already clinched the No. 2 seed for the upcoming SoCon Tournament, March 8-11, in Asheville, N.C.
•They have won of 14 of their last 18 games overall, which includes a season-high six-game win streak.
•Dating back to Jan. 13, 2012, the Wildcats have won 27 of their past 33 SoCon games.
•Head coach Michele Savage enters her third year at Davidson (54-38, 40-19 SoCon).
