Wrestling to Honor Seniors Prior to Regular Season Finale Sunday

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Senior Matt Zarth and Chris Cirenza will be honored prior to the final regular season Davidson wrestling match of the year, as the Wildcats will take on Southern Conference foe Appalachian State at 1 p.m. Sunday in Belk Arena.
Those that cannot attend the match in person can follow via the live video stream or live stats.
Scouting the Wildcats: Davidson (6-13, 1-5 SoCon) enters on a four-match losing streak, but has seen strong performances from sophomore 133-pounder Anthony Elias. Elias has won his last four matches, even defeating NC State's Sam Speno, who was ranked 24th in the nation by NCAA wrestling coaches. Junior Scott Patrick has also gotten hot recently, winning his last three matches.

The win moves the Apps to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in the league as they are in a two-way tie with The Citadel in the conference standings. Dominic Parisi leads the team with 23 vicories at 125 pounds, while 149-pounder Dyllan Cottrell has 22 wins.
