Onken is a three-time Mid-Major All-American by CollegeSwimming.com and was the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association's Swimmer of the Year as well as the Swimmer of the Meet at the 2012 CCSA Championships. The Marietta, Ga., native competed in the 200-yard breaststroke as well as the 200- and 400-yard individual medley at the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships in Seattle, Wash., this spring, placing 19th in the 400 IM. Onken also competed in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials earlier this summer.
