The BCA was founded in 1988. Davidson had one of its best seasons during Savage's second year. She guided the Wildcats to a 22-10 record and a school-record 17-3 in SoCon play as they captured the program's first regular season SoCon title. She was honored by her peers and the media as she was named the SoCon Coach of the Year. Savage also had the privilege of coaching the SoCon Player of the Year and Defender of the Year Sophia Aleksandracivius.
The 'Cats return 12 letterwinners for the 2012-13 campaign, including Aleksandravicius and All-SoCon First Team member Laura Murray. Of the 12 letterwinners who return, four of them were starters a season ago.
