Freshman Ralph Blasey leads the Wildcats individually, tied for 29th place at 146 (72+74), two-over-par. Junior John Skeadas shot a second-round one-under 71 to move into a tie for 38th place at 148, four-over-par.
Sophomore Richard Fountain matched Blasey's first-round 72, but faltered with a six-over 78 in the second round to finish the day at 150. Senior Jackson Taylor fired a pair of 75's to tie Fountain. Freshman Todd Eckstein's second-round 75 counted towards the 'Cats team score and he finished the day at 152.
Charleston Southern leads the 18-team field on the par-72, 6,648-yard course by nine strokes with a score of 562, 14-under-par. Campbell's Vaita Guillaume leads the tournament individually by one stroke with an 11-under-par 133 after rounds of 69 and 64.
Davidson trails Southern Conference foes Wofford (sixth place, 578), Samford (ninth, 584) and Appalachian State (11th, 589), but leads Elon (17th, 596).
The tournament will conclude with the third and final round Tuesday.
