Hopkins Breaks Davidson’s 10,000m Men’s Track & Field Record at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – Senior Ryan Hopkins was the fifth collegiate finisher in the 10,000-meter run at the Penn Relays late Thursday night, setting a new Davidson men's track and field record of 29 minutes, 49.01 seconds at Franklin Field.
Hopkins broke his own record of 30:14.87, which he set last season. Junior Demetrios Pagonis also competed for Davidson and broke Hopkins' old record. He placed 10th in 30:12.90.
Select members of the Davidson men's track and field team will compete in various events next weekend attempting to qualify for the NCAA Regionals.
