Overcash Named SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Davidson's Ryan Overcash has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today.
The senior pitcher tossed his first career complete game in a 2-1 victory over Wofford on Saturday and recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts. The Wildcats completed a three-game sweep of the Terriers Sunday afternoon.
Overcash, who hails from Concord, N.C., leads Davidson with a total of 47 strikeouts. He is tied for eighth in the league in the category. The right-hander maintains a 3.74 grade point average in economics.
