SEATTLE, Wash. — Junior Drew Onken prepares this weekend for his first NCAA Championships when he swims at the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, March 22-24, at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
Onken, who is the first Davidson swimmer to be invited to the men's championship meet and the second Wildcat swimmer to participate in the NCAA Championships, qualified with his time of 3:47.38 in the 400 IM. The junior also had NCAA B-cut times in the 200 IM (1:46.69, CCSA record) and 200 breaststroke (1:59.65) and will swim all three events in the NCAAs.
