Fountain lead Davidson to a seventh-place finish at 886 (296-294-296) Monday in a competitive field at UNC Wilmington's Seahawk Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall.
After starting with a three-under par 69 in round one, the Raleigh, N.C. native, fired his second consecutive even-par round of 72 on Monday on the 6,946-yard Nicklaus Course, finishing at three-under-par with 213 strokes (69-72-72) to tie with Thomas Birdsey of Wake Forest for fourth place.
