DAVIDSON, N.C. — Fresh off a 17-point home win over High Point on Wednesday, the Davidson women's basketball team will take on No. 23 Miami at 2:05 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats (3-4) and Hurricanes (6-1) will square off in Coral Gables at the BankUnited Center. 'Cats are playing thier seventh non-conference foe of the season, with this being the sixth on the road.
Game Notes: Quick Hits...
•Davidson's contest vs. Miami is the start of a four-game road swing. It's the team's second big road trip of the year as the 'Cats opened the season with a five-game road swing, facing North Carolina, Northern Illinois, Kennesaw State, Rutgers and Mercer.
•Its the first time the Wildcats have face a ranked opponent since their tilt with No. 17 Vanderbilt at the Commodores' Thanksgiving Tournament in '08-09. Davidson suffered an 82-50 setback.
•Davidson has never beaten a ranked opponent during its 34-year history.
•The Wildcats are also scheduled to face another ranked opponent in No. 14 Tennessee, Dec. 28.
