The Game
• After snapping an eight-game road losing streak at Campbell (10/20), Davidson will look to build a winning streak on the road when they take on Morehead State at 1 p.m.
• The Wildcats are coming off a 31-20 defeat to Butler at home after earning their first win of the season the week prior at Campbell, 28-21. Morehead State defeated Campbell at home 70-28 last week for their first PFL?win and second win of the season.
• This marks the second time the 'Cats have crossed state lines this season (played at Marist Sept. 22). They are in the midst of playing three road games in four weeks, as they will head to Valparaiso (Nov. 10) next before concluding the season at home vs. San Diego (Nov. 17).
• Junior quarterback Jonathan Carkhuff (773) needs just three completions to become Davidson's all-time leader.
• WR Lanny Funsten became Davidson's career receptions and receiving yards leader with a 17-catch, 246-yard game vs. Jacksonville. He needs two more receiving touchdowns to surpass the all-time Wildcat mark (19, Barrett Johnson, 2000-03 and Gifford Piercy, 1977-80).
• Davidson (227) and Morehead State (211) lead the PRL in completed passes.
• MSU WR/RS Donte Sawyer is the reigning PFL?Special Teams Player of the Week with a 94-yard kickoff return as a part of 188 all-purpose yards.
• The 'Cats were picked ninth in the PFL preseason poll while Morehead State was picked eighth.
Series Record
• The Eagles lead the all-time series, which began in 1999, 7-6.
• Davidson has won the last three games in the series, each by a touchdown or less, and is 3-4 against Morehead State at home.
• Tim Hines caught a 41-yard pass from Jonathan Carkhuff with 47 seconds left in the game to lift Davidson to a 28-24 victory over Morehead State last season at Richardson Stadium.
• On 2nd-and-5 on what was sure to be Davidson's last possession of the game, Hines broke free over the middle, and Carkhuff hit him in stride for the touchdown. It was the fifth lead change of the second half and put Davidson on top 28-24.
• Morehead State had first down at the Davidson 37-yard line following a Wildcat penalty, but Malcolm Moses-Hampton sacked Eagle quarterback Zach Lewis for a 7-yard loss on second down. After a 6-yard completion, Lewis' pass to Donte Sawyer on fourth down fell incomplete, preserving the win for Davidson.
• Hines finished the game with six receptions for 90 yards, and Lanny Funsten posted nine catches for 86 yards and two scores.
• Carkhuff was 35-for-61 for 297 yards and three touchdowns, and Chris Gorman rushed 18 times for 82 yards. The 'Cats did not commit a turnover while getting four takeaways, including interceptions by corners Adam Dulberger and Michael Corbett.
• Lewis completed 26-of-47 passes for 338 yards and three scores, and Sawyer posted seven receptions for 133 yards and a TD.

However, a 41-yard pass to Mesch setup another Butler touchdown, as Lancaster found Marquese Martin-Hayes with a seven-yard touchdown pass for a 31-20 lead with 8:59 to go.
• Davidson moved into Butler territory on its next possession, but Carkhuff was sacked for a nine-yard loss on 3rd-and-1 from the Butler 34, and David Burke intercepted a jump ball at the goal line on the next play, returning it 59 yards to give the Bulldogs the ball back with 5:32 to go. • Diehl's seven receptions were a career-best.
