Ludwick, Nakano Earn CCSA Accolades

CHARLOTTE, N.C – Davidson swimmers Dylan Ludwick and Meredith Nakano have been named the CCSA's Male and Female Swimmer of the Week, respectively, for their efforts in a pair of wins over league foe VMI this past weekend. The men's team earned a 164-118 win while the women recorded a 150-71 victory.
Nakano won a pair of events vs. the Keydets, taking the 200-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 1:57.70. She then went on to win the 200-yard butterfly, posting the Wildcats' best time of the season at 2:08.67. Nakano also swam a 2:25.84 in the exhibition swim of the 200-yard breaststroke and helped the 'Cats swim a 1:41.11 in an exhibition swim of the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Ludwick won a trio of events in Saturday's meet starting with a season-best 1:43.34 in the 200-yard freestyle. He also touched first in the 200-yard IM with a 1:58.08 and picked up the win in the 100-yard freestyle. In addition to his individual events, Ludwick swam a leg on Davidson's “B” relay that took second to the “A” squad with a mark of 1:28.91.
The Wildcats will return to action on Nov. 29 when they travel to Gambier, Ohio, for the annual Kenyon Invitational.
