Davidson Golf Earns GCAA All-Academic Team Recognition

NORMAN, Okla. – The Davidson Wildcats were one of 59 teams in NCAA Division I men's golf to be recognized as an All-Academic team by the Golf Coaches Association of America Wednesday.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the grade points earned and hours attempted for each player on its official squad list for the academic year. The team GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
DePaul (Division I), Lynn (Division II), Grinnell (Division III), SCAD-Savannah (NAIA), USC-Lancaster (NJCAA DI) and South Mountain CC (NJCAA DII) were named Academic National Champions for their respective divisions. DePaul posted the highest recorded team GPA with 3.66. A total of 103 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher and earned All-Academic Team recognition. Alabama, Brown, Butler, Missouri and Yale were also accorded President's Special Recognition status for earning team GPAs of 3.50 or better.
Davidson was joined by Southern Conference foe Wofford on the All-Academic list.
