Chiemeka Plays in U20 Women's European Championship for Great Britain

SERBIA- For the second straight summer, junior Katrin Chiemeka (Marienthal, France) was part of the U20 Great Britain team playing in the U20 European Championship games, July 7-17.
Chiemeka appeared in all nine games for Great Britain, averaging nearly five points and over five boards in almost 23 minutes a game. Three times she hit the double-digit mark in games vs. Latvia and Italy twice. A soon-to-be junior this Fall at Davidson, Chiemeka hit three treys on her way to 11 points in Great Britain's 71-64 win over Latvia. She also hauled in eight boards in the victory.
The guard then hit 3-of-8 field goals, including a pair of three-balls, for a team-high 10 points to go along with nine boards, also a team-best, in Great Britain's defeat to Italy, 44-36. Then in Great Britain's final game of the tournament, Chiemeka hit three treys in scoring a team-best 10 points in a 60-48 defeat to Itlay.
Chiemeka also pocketed three steals in the game and finished her nine games with 11 total, good for third-most on the squad. Her nine three-pointers was second-most on the team.
