DAVIDSON, N.C. — After making her second straight appearance at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in February, senior Lindsey Martin has been named to the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major All-America Team for a second straight season. Senior Emily Castle, junior Curtis Chaney, sophomore Drew Onken and junior Geoffrey Peitz were named Mid-Major All-American Honorable Mention.
“Having five team members recognized as standing out among their peers is an exceptional honor for our team,” head coach John Young said. “Growth in our number of CollegeSwimming.com All-Americans, especially among upperclassmen, is a noteworthy reflection of the progress that many of our athletes have enjoyed. I couldn't be more proud of Lindsey, Emily, Curtis, Drew and Geoff. Their accomplishments are a great credit to themselves, to their teammates and to Davidson College.”
Martin earned the honor along with 18 others based on her qualification for the 2011 NCAA Division I Championships.
