Macnamara Named to NSCAA Men’s Soccer Scholar All-South Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Davidson senior tri-captain Greg Macnamara added yet another postseason accolade as he was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2011 University Division Men's Scholar All-South Region Second Team.
Macnamara, a mathematics and economics double major carrying a 3.75 grade point average, led the Wildcats on the pitch and in the classroom, and recently completed his classes at Davidson, graduating a semester early.
The Arlington, Va. native has received several awards for his academic and athletic accomplishments following the 2011 season. Macnamara was named to the Capital One Academic All-America third team by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in early December, drew all-conference athletic and academic honors from the Southern Conference and was also named to the NSCAA's All-South Region team.
Macnamara was one of nine Southern Conference student-athletes to earn a place on the three All-South Region teams selected.
