Onken, Burton-Akright Earn CCSA Weekly Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Drew Onken has been selected as the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week, while Kaliya Burton-Akright has been named the CCSA Women's Diver of the Week for meets competed Oct. 24-30, the league announced today.
Onken won three individual events and one relay event to lead Davidson to a 161-127 victory over William & Mary Oct. 29. He took first place in the 100-yard breast stroke (58.27), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.36), the 200 IM (1:53.63) and the 400-yard medley relay. Onken now has the top-two 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke times in the CCSA this season as well as the top-two 200 IM times.
Burton-Albright won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events against William & Mary to score 18 of the Wildcats' 105 points in the meet. Her score of 243.68 off the 1-meter board is the best in the CCSA this season, and her 3-meter score of 231.24 is the fourth-highest in the conference.
It's the fourth CCSA honor for the Wildcat men this season and first for the Davidson women.
Davidson returns to action in its first conference meet of the season at College of Charleston. The diving portion of the dual meet will begin at 11 a.m., and the swimming portion will start at 1 p.m.
