Davidson Wrestling Defeated by Campbell, South Dakota State at Campbell Duals

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Davidson wrestling team was defeated in its first two dual meets of the season, as new Southern Conference member and meet host Campbell won, 39-6 and non-conference foe South Dakota State won, 35-12 Friday night at the Pope Convocation Center.
Sophomore Scott Patrick led Davidson (0-2, 0-1 SoCon) with a pin against Campbell (3-2, 1-0 SoCon) and a decision against South Dakota State (1-1). The Wildcats took a forfeit win at 133 pounds against SDSU.
Patrick pinned Campbell's TeShaun Johnson in three minutes, 53 seconds, while Jordan Tolbert (133 pounds) and John Weakley (197) led Campbell with victories by fall.
Against SDSU, Patrick took a 14-13 decision over Tony Lisek. Dustin Walraven and Joe Rasmussen led the Jacks with wins by fall.
Davidson next hosts an open tournament, the Davidson Open, Saturday, Dec. 3 in Knoblauch Tennis Center.
