Caroline Brown Named Second-Team All-Conference

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Davidson outside hitter Caroline Brown has been named second-team All-Southern Conference, the league announced today.
Brown has a team-leading 392 kills, and her average of 3.92 per set leads the league. The sophomore outside hitter also ranks second on the team with 328 digs. Brown has started all 29 matches this season, and has 34 blocks, 14 assists and a team-leading 42 service aces.
Elizabeth Neisler of Samford was named the Player of the Year, and Sloane White from College of Charleston earned Freshman of the Year honors. Kellie Orewiler of UNCG was named Libero of the Year, and Western Carolina coach Karen Glover earned Coach of the Year accolades.
Davidson takes on North Division champion Samford in the first round of the SoCon Tournament Saturday at 7 p.m.
