CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Davidson junior Drew Onken has been selected as the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets completed Oct. 31-Nov. 6, the league announced today.
Onken was the only swimmer in the closely-contested meet vs. College of Charleston to touch the wall first in each of his performances on the day. He took first place in the 100-yard breast stroke (1:05.90), 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.03), 400 IM (4:36.00) and the 400-yard medley relay.
It's the fifth CCSA honor for the Wildcat men and second in as many weeks for Onken.
Davidson returns to action in the Invitational at Kenyon College Dec. 1-3.
