Sanders Named SoCon Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Davidson goalkeeper Chip Sanders added the Southern Conference Men' Soccer Player of the Week award to his list of accolades Tuesday, the league office announced.
Sanders earned a pair of 1-0 shutouts against No. 2 North Carolina and Wofford last week, making seven saves in each game. He now has eight shutouts on the season, tying a Davidson single-season record.
The Thomasville, Ga. native was named to the CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performer Weekly Honor Roll and the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for his exemplary performance.
Davidson plays No. 23 Furman in a crucial SoCon match tonight at 7 p.m. in Alumni Stadium.
