Chaney Named CCSA Swimmer of the Week

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson senior Curtis Chaney has been selected the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets from Oct. 10-16, the league announced today.
Chaney won both the 100-yard freestyle (46.92) and 200-yard freestyle (1:42.68) as the Wildcats competed against East Carolina Oct. 15. He also anchored Davidson to a win in the 400-yard medley relay (3:26.32) with a split time of 45.68. Chaney then swam a critical leg in the first-place victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:26.37) with a split time of 21.44.
It's the third CCSA honor for the Wildcat men this season as Geoffrey Peitz was named Swimmer of the Week and Tim Keating was named Diver of the Week Oct. 5.
Davidson returns to action in a home meet Oct. 29, when the Wildcats host William & Mary at 1 p.m. in Charles A. Cannon Pool.
