
Men's Soccer Rises to Sixth in South Region

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Davidson men's soccer team moved up to sixth in the South region in the NSCAA/Hendrickcars.com Regional Rankings Monday, following strong performances against top-25 teams.
The Wildcats are 2-1-2 through two games, most recently shutting out Campbell at home and then tying No. 13 UC Santa Barbara and falling, 2-0, to No. 17 UCLA in California.
Davidson moved up past Florida Gulf Coast, who fell out of the Top 10, and NC State, now seventh.
North Carolina holds the top spot, while 2010 Davidson opponents No. 9 Duke (Oct. 5) and No. 14 Wake Forest (Nov. 2) are second and third, respectively. SoCon foe Furman ranks ninth.
The National Soccer Coaches Association releases polls each week throughout the season.
