About the Series
The College of Charleston leads the all-time series 24-11. The two teams played the first game of the series on April 11, 1911, a 5-0 Davidson win in Charleston, but did not meet again until April 3, 1999, when the teams split a double-header in Davidson.
The Wildcats won seven of the first 11 games in the series, but have struggled with the Cougars in recent history. Charleston has won the last six meetings, sweeping the Wildcats in the past two regular seasons. Davidson's last win in the series was a 6-5, 11-inning road win. Prior to that, the Cougars had won seven straight.
Davidson has won two series against the College, taking two of three against the Cougars in 2001 in Davidson and the season before in Charleston.
