Onken, Martin Sweep Weekly CCSA Honors

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Sophomore Drew Onken and senior Lindsey Martin swept the CCSA Men's and Women's Swimmer of the Week honors behind their performances at the Kenyon Total Performance Invitational this weekend, for the meets competed Nov. 29-Dec. 5 and announced today by the league.
Onken posted four season-best times in five events, including a CCSA-best time of 1:52.47 in the 200 IM and a lifetime-best 57.52 in the 100 breaststroke. He finished second and third in the events, respectively, and placed third in both the 400 IM (3:59.11) and 200 backstroke (1:52.49) with a pair of season-best times.
Onken also swam the breaststroke leg of Davidson's 200 and 400 medley relays, which clocked CCSA-best times of 1:33.94 and 3:27.23, respectively. He led off the Wildcats' 400 freestyle relay (3:05.72) with a time of 46.94, the conference's third-best 100 freestyle time this season. This is Onken's third weekly honor this season.
Martin won three individual titles, set a school, pool and CCSA record, swam two NCAA B-cut times and anchored a pair of winning relays for the Wildcats. She kicked off her weekend by winning the 50 free with an NCAA B-cut, CCSA season-best time of 22.98, and won the 200 freestyle with a season-best time of 1:49.89 the following day. Martin closed out the invitational by breaking her own CCSA record in the 100 free with a NCCA B-cut time of 49.54, remaining undefeated in the event this season.
Martin was also a member of every relay for Davidson, anchoring the winning and CCSA-best 800 (7:30.89) and 400-freestyle relays (3:25.16). The 800 freestyle relay of Anna Stringfield, Jessica Delgehausen, Jean DeOrnellas and Martin also set a new school record. This is Martin's third of the season.
