Martin, Onken and McRae Earn Weekly CCSA Honors

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Lindsey Martin was named CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week, while teammates Drew Onken and Brian McRae were named CCSA Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for meets completed Nov. 8-14 and announced by the league office today.
Martin kept her undefeated streak alive in the 100 free on Saturday at William & Mary, winning the event with a CCSA-best time of 51.23. She also helped the 400-free relay to win in a CCSA-best time of 3:30.97 and led the 400-medley relay to a second-place finish with a CCSA-best time of 3:57.64. This is Martin's second Swimmer of the Week honor this season; she earned the award for the week of Oct. 11-17 after winning a pair of individual titles at East Carolina.
Onken won the 500 free and 200 breaststroke as the Wildcats' suffered a point-loss at William & Mary Saturday. He swam a season-best time of 4:38.94 to win the 500 free and finished with a pool record and CCSA-best time of 2:05.36 in the 200 breaststroke. He also swam the breaststroke leg of the Wildcats' winning 400-medley relay for a season-best time of 3:27.45. This is Onken's second swimmer of the week honor this season; he also earned the award for the week of Oct. 1-3 for winning three individual titles against Clemson.
McRae earned his second Diver of the Week honor behind a winning score of 147.30 on the 1-meter board at William & Mary. He finished second in the optionals with a score of 228.75. McRae also earned the weekly honor for the week of Oct. 1-3 by finishing in runner-up on both the 1- and 3-meter dives against Clemson.
Howard senior Ashley Goins was named the CCSA Women's Diver of the Week after winning both diving events at Loyola this weekend. In the 1 meter, Goins scored 245.62 and in the 3-meter event she scored 199.73.
