DAVIDSON, N.C. — Highlighted by five straight-set singles victories, No. 68 Radford defeated Davidson 6-1 in men's tennis action Sunday afternoon at the Knobloch Tennis Center.
The win was the second straight for the nationally-ranked Highlanders as they improve to 4-1 on the season, while Davidson falls to 1-3.
The Wildcats' lone win came at the fourth spot, which was decided by a third set tiebreaker due to the match already being decided.
Freshman Calum Gee picked up his second collegiate win with the 10-5 win in the tiebreaker, after he split his first two sets 6-4, 4-6 with Stefan Bojic.
Davidson plays its second straight ranked opponent when it heads to No. 52 South Carolina for a 10 a.m. match against the Gamecocks, Feb. 7.
