
Men's and Women's Swimmers Ranked in First CSCAA Mid-Major Poll of Season

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Both the Davidson Wildcat men's and women's swimming and diving teams are ranked in the season's first CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA Mid-Major Division I Poll.
After picking up a dual-meet victory over CCSA-foe the College of Charleston, the Wildcat women are ranked 20th. The Davidson men are ranked 25th.
Undefeated Boston University is ranked first on the women's side, while the Navy men, also sporting a perfect dual-meet record, ranked first. Towson, Miami-Ohio, Western Kentucky and Florida Gulf Coast round out the top five on the women's poll. Seven conferences are represented in the top 10, with the MAC, Sunbelt and CAA each showing a pair of teams.
On the men's side, Navy is followed by Missouri State, Missouri, Western Kentucky, Eastern Michigan and UNC Wilmington. The top-10 men's teams represented six conferences, led by the MAC and Sunbelt with three teams each.
The Mid-Major poll includes those institutions that are not members of a BCS conference, Mountain West Conference, or Western Athletic Conference, or provide fewer than one-half of the allowable scholarships under the NCAA rules. The Poll is inclusive of all results to date prior to mid -season invitationals. The next poll will be released on December 23rd.
After a three-week break, the Wildcats will return to action at the Nike Invitational held at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, December 3.
