DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson Wildcat Volleyball team will hold a silent auction to support the Dig Pink campaign for the Side-Out Foundation at 6:30 p.m. in the Belk Lobby tonight, before the team's match with Western Carolina Catamounts at 7 p.m. The 'Cats return to action against the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 2 p.m. Sunday.
About Dig Pink
The Wildcats are joining with over 800 high school and college teams across the country to participate in the Dig Pink campaign. Auction items include a Stephen Curry autographed jersey, a two-hour lake cruise, designer sunglasses, two tickets to Forbidden Farms, spa packages, a session of volleyball day camp and a team autographed volleyball, among others. There will also be a raffle for a Stephen Curry autographed basketball, and Monkee's of Lake Norman will be giving away 50 pairs of free earrings. Bidding ends at the conclusion of set three.

About the Davidson Wildcats
The Davidson Wildcats (4-20, 1-7) are hoping to snap a four-match losing streak this weekend. The time is right for the Wildcats, who boast the Southern Conference kill leader in Sarabeth Peele and will get six of their eight remaining games at home in Belk.
About the Western Carolina Catamounts
Winless in the Southern Conference, the Western Carolina Catamounts enter the weekend on a losing streak of their own, 12-matches strong and dating back to the team's 3-0 win over Howard in the finale of their Invitational tournament on Sept. 12. The Catamounts lost three straight matches by shutouts before losing a five-setter to Wofford Sunday.
Amanda Kerr (155 kills, 2.25/s) and Carrie Minogue (123, 1.68/s) each have over 100 kills to lead the Catamounts. Setter Katie Hennseey has tallied 555 assists (7.30/s), ninth best in the league, while Liz Rondone also ranks ninth in the SoCon and paces the WCU defense with 271 digs (3.61/s). Minogue is also amongst conference leaders in aces, seventh with 23 total (0.32/s), and she is the team's leading blocker with 49 total blocks (0.67/s).
About the Appalachian State Mountaineers
To keep their Southern Conference hopes alive, every win is crucial for the Appalachian State Mountaineers (9-13, 5-3), in fourth in the North division with eight matches remaining. After facing the Wildcats and Georgia Southern Eagles this weekend, ASU hosts the College of Charleston, UNC Greensboro and Elon and travels to Western, Samford and Chattanooga. ASU's conference wins include The Citadel (3-2), Western (3-0), Chattanooga (3-0), Samford (3-2) and Wofford (3-1), and they have losses to Elon (0-3), Greensboro (0-3) and Furman (2-3).
Maja Jechorek ranks sixth in the SoCon and leads the Appalachian attach with 223 kills (2.79), with Becca Norris (157, 1.94/s) and Maggie Seeds (155, 2.12/s) just behind. Setter Kasey Sauls is among conference leaders in assists, ranking fifth with 753 (9.30/s), and Caroline Sedon is the team's leading blocker and second in the SoCon with 99 total blocks (1.22/s).
