DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Wildcat wrestling team will finish its regular-season slate by hosting Duquesne Friday at 7 p.m. in Belk Arena.
It will be the final home meet for senior Trebor Clavette, who has wrestled his way into the second seed at 174 pounds in the SoCon Championships March 8 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Clavette owns a 24-5 overall record, and his .862 win percentage is tied for the second-highest in a season in school history. With a good showing at conference tournament, he has a very good chance at becoming the first Davidson wrestler to advance to the NCAA Tournament since Ian Kaplan in 1999.
Sophomore Ben Altman and junior Sam O'Hair have also topped the 20-win plateau for the Wildcats. Altman is 22-11 this season with all 22 victories coming at 125 pounds. O'Hair is 21-12, including 19-12 at 184 pounds.
Below are the probable match-ups for Friday's dual meet.
