Scouting the Wildcats
Davidson saw its six-game home win streak dating back to last year come to an end with a 71-67 loss to Western Carolina last Saturday. The 'Cats, who led by as many as nine points early on, trailed 69-67 and set up an inbounds play after a held ball with four seconds left. They got the ball to junior Mandy Halbersleben in the lane, but her jumper from the left block rolled off the rim, and the Catamounts sealed the win with two free throws.
Mercedes Robinson posted 17 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for her second straight double-double and sixth of the season. She ranks 5th in the SoCon with an 11.5 points per game average and third in rebounds at 8.1 per game.

Tonight's game features the top-two shooting teams in the conference from behind the arc as Chattanooga has 109 three-balls to Davidson's 83.
The Wildcats matched their season-high for assists last game out with 19 and lead the league at 14.79 per game.
Scouting the Catamounts
The preseason favorite to win the Southern Conference, Chattanooga is off to a 3-0 start in league play after a 68-55 win over Appalachian State last Saturday. It was the Mocs sixth straight win.
Chattanooga withstood a late second- half rally by Appalachian State, who used a 12-0 run to knot things up at 52-all, before the Mocs took over. They held the Mountaineers to just three points over the final 7:03 to grab the win.
Alex Anderson, fresh off league player of the week honors, led all scorers with 25 points and 11 rebounds. She moved into sixth all-time on the Lady Mocs scoring charts as the senior is averaging a SoCon-best 17.5 points per game. Anderson ranks second in the league in both rebounds (8.6) and field goal percentage (.525).
