Men's Soccer Releases 2008 Spring Schedule

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Three home dates including one with N.C. State, highlight the 2008 Davidson men's soccer spring slate as announced Thursday by Head Coach Matt Spear, who just completed his seventh season at the helm of the Wildcats.
"Our spring matches are crucial to give our young, developing players more match experiences, tests, and confidence," commented Spear.
Davidson will kickoff the spring campaign with a 1 p.m. contest against Winthrop at Alumni Stadium Feb. 24.
Following a March 15th home date with the N.C. State Wolfpack, the Wildcats will hit the road for two straight before closing the slate with their annual meeting against the Charlotte Eagles from the United Soccer League, April 4.
"This time frame is very much the foundation for our Fall 2008 regular season. The players realize that a successful spring campaign is crucial to improving our abilities, raising our awareness, and combining with powerful chemistry."
