DAVIDSON, N.C. — The new Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) has officially launched the conference's new online home, which features meet results, news, schedules, championship information, records and top times for the newly formed Division I swimming and diving conference.
The website can be found by visiting www.bigsouthsports.com/fls/4800/CCSASwimming/index.htm. Links to each conference member, as well as the four conferences that comprise the CCSA — the Atlantic Sun Conference, the Big South Conference, the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference and the Southern Conference — can be found on the site.
The CCSA was officially formed July 10, 2007 through cooperative efforts of coaches, administrators and commissioners of the four member leagues. The six schools on the men's side are College of Charleston, Davidson, Florida A&M, Gardner-Webb, Howard and VMI.
The CCSA's inaugural season begins this Sat., Oct. 6, and the first CCSA Championship meet will be held Feb. 21-23, 2008 at the Huntersville Aquatic Center in Huntersville, N.C.
The Wildcats will kick off the 2007-08 season, hosting East Carolina on Sat., Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. at Cannon Pool.
