LOUISVILLE, Ky. –– In a strong region, the Davidson women's cross country team finished ninth at the NCAA regionals on Sat., Nov. 11 at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky., two spots better than last year's squad and in the top ten for the first time in the program's history.
"I am just ecstatic right now," head women's cross country coach Jen Straub said after her team's ninth-place finish. "To finish in ninth in this region is fantastic. And we were just 20 or 30 points out of the top six. To finish the year ranked in the top ten is a wonderful testament to the girls' efforts over the course of the season."
