Stroud is in his eighth season as an assistant coach with Davidson College wrestling. Helping primarily with the conditioning of the Wildcat wrestlers, Stroud is a local wrestling product who began competing in high school at North Mecklenburg.
He graduated from Furman University in 1978 where he was a four-year starter and a team captain during his final campaign. Prior to coming to Davidson, Stroud served 20 years in the Army as a Field Artillery Officer and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1998.
He now serves as the Assistant Director for Operations at the Knobloch Campus Center at Davidson.
